This pic was the view out of my ‘New Years Eve’ window. Nothing fancy but just where I wanted to be!

It’s the beginning of a new year and new adventures….at least that’s how I try and look at it.
I don’t like to have any new years resolutions cause (to be honest) I know I probably wont stick to them. I think the best thing is to continue to live everyday the best you can. Things don’t always go as we planned but I’m encouraged to know that God is a God of miracles and my faith is in the fact that His way is perfect. So I’m not sure if this is a resolution however my prayer is still and always that I may see Him more clearly.
I know sometimes we reach the end of a year and feel somewhat relieved that it’s over, just hoping the next will be better. Maybe instead of placing your hope in the new year or in any resolutions, place your hope each day in God.

This is the only way to attain true joy and peace in any adventures that life may bring!!!

I had to have this little old book I found at an antique store in Tennessee. It’s called ‘A Christmas token’. Inside the cover is signed by a Reverend with the date 1910.
On this page that is opened it says, ‘Peaceful was the night wherein the prince of light His reign of peace upon the earth began’.

Well I did tell everyone how much I love singing carols now I find myself singing carols every weekend for the month of December….thankfully I actually do love it.

One of the reasons I get so happy this time of year is my obsession with carols!
Sure there are a few fun Christmas songs thrown in that we all love but the classic ones, just like an old hymn, are always sung.
I’ve always believed there is power in songs and in the lyrics as they are spoken out. ‘Joy to the world the Lord has come, let earth RECIEVE her King!
‘O come let us adore Him Christ the lord!

So please excuse my enthusiasm for carols but I just can’t help but smile when my Lord is being glorified in homes and shops where usually He wouldn’t.

Is there a part in the worlds heart that still BELIEVES! Not just in the christmas spirit as some would say but in hope. Hope in a child that was born a King who would come to save us. Maybe this ‘Christmas Spirit’ of giving is also about receiving. Not just of gifts but something much more eternal. Receiving and accepting in our hearts that love which was bestowed upon us the day a child was born….Christ the Lord.

Don’t forget to check out my ‘singing @’ page to see where I’ll be singing some of my favourite carols!!
